Under the baton of conductor Marcus Pashley, with Matt Byrne as leader, the orchestra brings to life a programme inspired by storytelling, landscapes and legend. From the sweeping romance of Khachaturian’s Adagio from Spartacus to the colourful brilliance of Tchaikovsky’s Capriccio Italien, the concert celebrates music that paints vivid scenes and emotions.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade unfolds as a musical tale of mystery and adventure, while Borodin’s In the Steppes of Central Asia evokes the vast beauty of distant lands.
A captivating evening where every piece tells a story through sound.
