A stacked night of heartfelt indie rock and cosmic psychedelia comes to The Vic Inn, Derby on Friday 20th February 2026, featuring Sura Laynes, Beatnik Hurricane, and The Telephones.
Sura Laynes – Formed in 2022, this Derby four-piece deliver sharp, melodic rock and roll with clean guitars, soaring harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. Fans of The La’s, The Libertines and The Beatles will hear those influences beating proudly through their sound.
Beatnik Hurricane – Led by Barry Sutton (ex-The La’s, Cast), this Merseyside collective brings a vibrant blend of “Cosmic Scouse” brilliance, channelling decades of songwriting craft and boundary-pushing musicianship.
The Telephones – Since 2006, The Telephones have carved out their own brand of modern psychedelic rock ’n’ roll across two albums and multiple singles. Following the heartbreaking loss of guitarist and co-writer Jim Widdop, the band continue to honour their music with powerful live performances praised for their timeless, classic qualities.
