Tina Jesson headed to Derby’s main Post Office on Babington Lane, one of only two locations in Britain chosen to pilot Post Office Plus — a new initiative designed to transform local post offices into wider community support hubs.
She speaks with Rose Burkett, Financial Services Manager, about how Post Office Plus expands the traditional role of the Post Office. Alongside parcels, banking and everyday services, Derby residents can now access help with digital skills, energy bills, financial guidance, will writing, and other essential life admin that many people struggle to find support for elsewhere.
Rose explained why Derby was selected, how the pilot is already being used by the community, and what this could mean for the future of accessible support across the UK.
